Web 2.0 Startups FYI

Panel discussion on Web 2.0 startups and AOL’s recent startup acquisitions.  The panel features Sarah Lacy (columnist for Business Week, co-host of Tech Ticker on Yahoo! Finance, and author of Once You’re Lucky, Twice You’re Good: The Rebirth of Silicon Valley and the Rise of Web 2.0) and Frank Gruber (strategist for AOL People Networks, blogger for SomewhatFrank.com, and co-founder of Tech Cocktail).  The panel is moderated by Michael Tolosa (content programmer for AOL Shopping and independent podcaster).  Various AOL-acquired startups are discussed, including Netscape, Bebo, Goowy, Userplane, and Yedda.  Other non-AOL owned startups are also discussed, such as Facebook, Flickr, and del.icio.us.  The topic of Silicon Valley vs. Washington DC is also covered.
